practice, practice, practice

Shortly after I started learning to write in Spencerian Script, Malcolm Gladwell’s “10,000-hour rule” popped to mind. A brief search revealed the existence of some strong (and compelling) opposition to his “rule,” but, I will carry on, undaunted.

So, for fun and curiosity, I shall continue keeping track of the hours I spend practicing.

  1. I read the book…the 10K hour rule makes sense to me, but it reminds me of detention from my early, Catholic education…stay after school and copy letters in cursive. Today, I am a fountain pen writer and while my handwriting isn’t perfect, but it gets me by. Hope you are feeling better.,
