Peregrine falcon 012613 by sld -820

Morro Rock is the year-round home to a pair of peregrine falcons, but this one (in the lower half of the photo, slightly to the right of centre), named Doris, only comes during the winter months and hangs out in the back bay area. Often in the mornings recently, there’s been one or more photographers pointing their HUGE lenses up towards the top branches of this tree. You can read more about these peregrines at pacificcoastperegrinewatch.org
