in thought, word, or deed

violence is a

two-edged knife with no handle

that cowardice wields

~ sld

. . . . . . .

I believe that the ultimate act of cowardice is to harm a child.

Some questions come to mind . . .

What would happen if we had the courage to be disappointed, to feel sad, to weep, to mourn losses, instead of acting in anger against others, or against ourselves? Or try to numb ourselves?

What would happen if we had the courage to be afraid without trying to control others?

What would happen if we had the courage to be honest with ourselves and with others?

What would happen if we had the courage to accept full responsibility for our actions, deliberate or accidental?

What would happen if we had the courage to be sorry? To forgive?

What would happen if we had the courage to truly love?

. . . maybe, just maybe, something wonderful.
