We thought we had a rehearsal for the Morro Bay White Caps this morning, so I went out walking fairly early. One of my favourite furry friends came to greet me. She lives in the house that I think belongs to the artist who created the bear sculptures at either end of Los Osos. Their gate was closed, and as I hoped she would, she came to the gate, ball in mouth, ready to play. She drops the ball through the spaces between the wrought iron bars, waits for me to throw it over onto her driveway, and tears after it. She’s a skilled catcher. Then back with the ball she comes for another go. I had my camera with me, so here’s a picture of her.
