A few months ago, a nearby hotel installed a labyrinth on its grounds. My son and I have woven our way around it a couple of times when we were on nature walks. We think it’s a rather special addition to our neighbourhood.

This morning, I was able to enjoy a solitary walk through it before continuing down to the shoreline. It’s a beautiful model of the journey of life. And, having chosen to walk the labyrinth, it felt natural to be in a meditative frame of mind. Prayerful. Savouring a quiet and unhurried pace. Meandering towards the center and then out the same way. One path.

Farther down the road, I was delighted to find that the lupins are in bloom. A fragrant chorus chanting, “Happy Spring!”
