Last night’s sunset matched the day — hot! Deep, deep reds coloured the sky. My son and I stood on our balcony overlooking the bay. A fellow across the street climbed onto his roof to gaze at the evening’s display. He stood, silhouetted, for a long time. He would have looked good up there poised with a violin in his hands. Lilting music would have been perfect.
Tonight it was quieter. The horizon was kissed by delicate pinks and a blending of lavenders. As I walked along the shore admiring God’s artwork, it felt like a special gift.
